Your packs
Define a pack of cards you own, publish it, and deliver the sales. In an equal-value pack (every card has the same listed value) you and the buyer sign one transaction. In a chance pack (cards differ in rarity) the buyer pays you directly and first, the card is drawn after the payment is final, and you deliver it with your own signature before the deadline. Hammerprice never holds the money or the cards.
Offer a pack
How packs work, and how to offer one
A pack is a sealed draw from a pool of real cards. If you own the cards, you can define a pack, publish it and sell it. Buyers pay you directly.
Compose your own pack
- You pick cards you own: the Metaplex Core assets in your wallet.
- You set 1 to 8 tiers (rarities), the odds per tier (together 100 percent) and a price in USDC.
- The odds, the whole pool and a commitment hash are public before any sale and appear on the pack page. After you publish, nothing can be edited; you can only pause, resume or close the pack.
- A card value you list is your own figure, never a promise. A buyer can receive a card worth more or less than the price.
How the odds work
Each tier has odds in basis points (one hundredth of a percent), and all tiers together add up to 10,000. They are hashed into the pool hash before the first sale, so the odds you see are the odds that are used.
The draw turns the ECVRF output into a fair whole number from 0 up to one less than the total, which is 0 to 9,999 while every tier still has a card. The tiers are walked in the published order, and the tier whose range contains the number is the one drawn. Then one card of that tier is picked the same fair way: every card of the tier that is still free is equally likely.
If a tier has no free card left, it drops out of that draw and the other tiers share its weight in proportion. Nothing else influences the result. Anyone can recompute any draw on its proof page, /verify/packs/ followed by the draw id.
Example: Common 7,000, Rare 2,500, Chase 500. Common covers 0 to 6,999, Rare 7,000 to 9,499 and Chase 9,500 to 9,999. The number 9,612 is a Chase. If the Chase tier holds 2 cards, each of them has half of that 5 percent, so 2.5 percent.
Payment and delivery: no pool at Hammerprice
- The buyer pays you directly, and first. Hammerprice only takes its fee in the same payment.
- After the payment is final, a card is drawn by a public random draw. You must deliver that card within the deadline (24 hours after the draw by default). If it passes or you move the drawn card away, the sale counts as not delivered, you get a strike (20 strikes suspend you) and the pack is paused.
- Every seller has a public delivery record: delivered, late, not delivered and the median time to deliver.
- Hammerprice holds no pool, no money and no cards, so it cannot refund a buyer. Keep the pool cards in your wallet. Buyers should check the seller's record before paying and keep the payment and the proof.
- Buyers must confirm that they are 18 or older.
